Toronto Eats: Salad King

Located near Eaton Centre and right next to Ryerson, it’s a solid cheap eatery with decent food and portion size is good (note: Serving sizes are smaller than I remember when I first visited 2 years ago).  Service is fast.  The place is jammed pack all the time.  Servers are pretty friendly even though they are very busy.  You can choose 20 levels of spiciness, which is an interesting marketing gimmick.  The food is a bit white washed Thai food (bland).  It’s not horrible but not mind-blowing either.

My ratings: ❤❤❤
Price range: $-$$

Panang Curry, with Chicken
Sweet Asian basil, peanut, lime leaf, bell pepper, Panang curry with coconut milk, served with steam rice.

This is one of the more popular curry dishes.  Everyone seems to recommend this dish.  The rice is in pyramid shape

Thai Noodle Soup
Rice noodle, chicken, shrimp, bean sprout, carrot, onion, coriander and celery in a light chicken broth.
