NYC Eats: Papaya King

It is a piece of New York history.  I went to the original store in Upper East Side.  I was quite disappointed because this place was just mediocre despite all the hype I read.  It’s just a salty sausage on a toasted but very dry bun.  It is relatively cheap at least.  Come here to taste the history but expect a very regular hot dog, there is nothing impressive here.

My ratings: ❤❤
Price range: $

Jumbo hot dog, with sautéed onions and peppers
Not really that huge in size, I think it’s nearly the same size as a normal sausage.  Bun was very dry.

Franks with Kraut
Frank is better than Jumbo hot dog, but still nothing really that special about it.  Bun is better this time, which makes me realize they are inconsistent with their quality.
