Quiche Lorraine + 黑森林蛋糕

Quiche Lorraine (Helen’s Recipe)

This is the recipe from a French exchange student.  I never liked the quiche served in the caf, but finally this one has changed my mind on how real quiche should taste like Wink

The Crust

  • ≈ 2 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of butter (softened)
  • cold water
  • sprinkle of salt

→ Mix all ingredients to form a ball, wait minimum 3 hour (wrap tightly with aluminum foil)

The quiche

  • 200g of bacon
  • Mustard
  • 1/8 cup of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 20mL of sour cream
  • 20mL of milk
  • 1/4 of onion

→ Spread your crust with a rolling pin, so it can fit in the dish
→ Pick the crust with a fork
→ Spread mustard on the crust
→ Make the onion and the bacon cook in a pan (with a bit of oil)
→ Male the butter melt in the microwave
→ Add all the ingredients in a bowl, mix them
→ Add them to the dish

⇒ Bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 50 minutes
⇒ Let cool at room temperature before serving
