Washington Eats: Good Stuff Eatery

So I finally got to check out Good Stuff Eatery, run by Chef Spike and had received so much press attention.  It’s a chic burger joint.  I came in on a non-busy afternoon so quality seemed to be better than during rush hour.  The burger was tasty, but I’m not sure if it lives up to the hype.  They also have 4 flavoured mayo for you to choose and pump from the dispenser (along with the normal condiments).

My ratings: ❤❤❤❤
Price range: $

Prez Obama Burger
Applewood Burger, Onion Marmalade, Roquefort Cheese & Delicious Horseradish Mayo Sauce
Our farmhouse burgers are topped with farm fresh ruby red tomatoes, thinly sliced onion, crisp lettuce & pickles.  Served on a sweet, buttery soft, freshly baked Pennsylvania Dutch bun with a loving spoonful of good stuff sauce.
It tasted good, but it was very squished and slimy from the grease and sauces.  It’s not monstrously huge and is a reasonable size.

Spike’s Village Snack Fry
Topped with fresh thyme, rosemary & seasalt
Excellent on its own.

Mango Mayo, Chipotle Mayo, Old Bay Mayo
There’s also a siracha mayo but since I don’t like siracha I didn’t get it.  Made with real ingredients.  I liked mango the best but maybe it’s because it was acidic just like ketchup.  Chipotle mayo tasted like mayo + chipotle (duh).  Old Bay mayo was very salty.

Toasted mashmallow hand spun shakes
Very creamy and thick, but oversweet to the point that it was like drinking syrup.
