Montréal Eats: Kono Pizza

I like the concept of this store.  It’s a medium snack size pizza.  Ingredients aren’t mind-blowing but it’s relatively cheap and convenient to eat.  The cone is sealed at the bottom so nothing spills out.  Their coffee and hot chocolate is too milky and foamy.

Montréal Eats: Ristorante Luce

It’s located right next to a highway.  Seems to be a very popular restaurant because it was very difficult to book a table (it was fully booked for 3 weeks).  Very nice décor inside.  Great service and food.  Price is reasonable for the quality and quantity you get.

Ossobucco d’agnello al forno
Jarrêt d’agneau aux romarins servit sur un lit de risotto aux sarans
Well cooked but very salty and very rich.

Manzo al porto et foie gras
Filet mignon au porto et foie gras
Had a very nice smell of red wine.

Chocolate Cake
Cake was fine but the icing was grainy.

Montréal Eats: Frite Alors!

This is a popular poutine chain in Montréal.  The small size is big enough for two people to share already.  The curds were fresh and not overly salty and the fries were perfectly done and crispy.

December ’11: 苦瓜釀肉、清蒸魚、豬腳薑




  1. 苦瓜切成段去瓤,冷水煮熟後去水。
  2. 豬肉剁成泥,冬菇、蝦切碎。
  3. 加太白粉、精鹽調成餡,塞入苦瓜段,用濕太白粉封兩端。
  4. 豎放在碗裡,撒上蒜瓣,加醬油上籠蒸熟。
  5. 將蒸苦瓜的原汁倒入油鍋燒開,加濕太白粉勾芡,苦瓜翻扣盤中澆汁即可。
