Kingston Eats: The Grizzly Grill

Grizzly Grill is a mix of a grill and pub restaurant.  It’s very big so it can accommodate many large companies.  The first time we came here there were over 40 of us (floor event with all the exchange students in my third year).  I ordered a smoked salmon appetizer and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity for the amount I paid for.  On the other hand, X hated Grizzly Grill, and I also heard many negative comments from other floormates.  Came back another time with Faye and we both had a very good meal.  I do think Grizzly Grill is on the expensive side and a bit overpriced.  They do serve “exotic” (in context of North American shores anyway) entries including alligator, swordfish, ostrich etc.

My ratings: ❤❤❤
Price range: $$-$$$

0411 Blackened Swordfish 1 (Grizzly Grill) 0411 Blackened Swordfish 2 (Grizzly Grill)Dinner special
Blackened swordfish with herb-roasted tomatoes au-gratin and wild rice, topped with cucumber slaw
The swordfish was very flavourful and smelled very nice even from far away.  It has a very firm texture but it was very tender and juicy.

0411 Steak Sandwich (Grizzly Grill)Steak sandwich
Served open faced with horseradish mayonnaise
Steak was also very tender and juicy.
