Kingston Eats: Windmills Café

Windmills is one of the classic and classier restaurants in Kingston.  The environment is nice.  Good food and the menu is very creative and versatile, you can expect to see a wide range of cuisines on the menu and the daily specials.  Make sure you have room for dessert.  Brunch is quite well known in Kingston apparently.  However atmosphere isn’t too nice.  Service isn’t too good either (one time they just ignored us).

℘ Windmills is a member of “Local Food Local Chef”, a Kingston initiative to promote the area as a destination of culinary tourism.

1210 Portobello and Truffle Pizza (windmills)Portobello and Truffle Pizza
Roasted portobello mushrooms, roasted red pepper, leeks, house pickled red onion, fontina cheese, roasted garlic bianca sauce & truffle oil
I love mushrooms.  It is not comparable to the funghi pizza from Atomica.  Not a big fan of pickled red onion, it didn’t seem to fit with the rest of the ingredients.  Nothing too remarkable about it.
