Prince Edward County Eats: Slickers Ice Cream

✣ Top pick ✣

This is a must stop in Prince Edward County.  The little shop churns fresh local ice cream.  It is very creamy and one of the best artisanal ice creams I have had.  It might be a small store but there are a lot of flavours to choose from.  Even on a lazy day the place is still packed with people passing by.  We also bumped into one of the owners who were bringing in freshly churned ice cream to refill the store.

My ratings: ❤❤❤❤❤
Price range: $

Left: Mango;
Right:
Apple Pie (top scoop) & Campfire crème (bottom scoop)

There is real apple pie in the ice cream 😆 Campfire had a nice creamy charcoal flavour.

Prince Edward County Eats: The Painted Peppercorn

This is a very neat little restaurant on the Main Street in Picton.  There is a lot of interesting and unique decorations all around the shop.  There is also a little art gallery on the walls.  Menu changes frequently, and food is made from very fresh and good quality local products.  Owner is also extremely friendly and nice.
